Everyone has their sacred cows. The things they won’t question, that they will follow and defend until the bitter end. I believe that everything should be questioned. By not doing so, one is perpetuating ignorance.
It is my plan in this blog to discuss all sorts of subjects considered taboo. Rather than sweeping things under the rug, I wish to bring them out into the open, casting them into the light. At the very least, perhaps an better understanding of an issue can be found.
The Author
I suppose it would be best to introduce myself in a way relevant to the blog’s own tagline. The topics are quite multifaceted, so I will give an abridged introduction.
Sex: I am a 24 year old male, genderqueer (I just plain don’t “get” gender), and asexual. However, I am rather sex-positive, am for more comprehensive education, support equal rights for gays, and have no qualms with polyamory.
Politics: Politics isĀ far too complex to even begin to go into detail on, so I’ll speak in terms of political parties. Of the parties in the United States, I align closest with the Libertarians, more commonly known as the crazy fringe nutjobs. I’m not “capital L,” pure unregulated free market Libertarian, but I am of the opinion that both major parties are far too “big government.”
Religion: I was born and raised Christian, but after reading the Bible, I found it a rather absurd book, and I now identify as an Atheist (godless heathen if you so desire). I am of the opinion that the value placed upon faith by religion is dangerous, as faith requires acceptance of something as fact without evidence, something completely contrary to critical thinking.
